National Ploughing Championships 2019

The 88th running of the National Ploughing Championships will takes place from September 17th to 29th 2019 in Ballintrane, Fenagh, County Carlow. 600 acres have been made available for the 3 day event. Last years ploughing championships was impacted by poor weather so organisers are optimistic for a great event in 2019 with an expected 1,700 exhibitors taking part and over 280,000 visitors due to attend over the 3 days.

Although the "Ploughing Match" competition is the main event where expert international ploughmen pit their skills against one another, it is also a massive trade show, and the largest outdoor event of it's kind in Europe. Exhibitions vary from livestock and machinery to trade stalls, craft stalls, vintage and classic motors, fashion shows, interior design and art exhibitions.

By hosting the 2019 National Ploughing Championships event, Ballintrane in Fenagh, Co. Carlow is set to receive a €40 million boost.
